We are excited to announce that we have received a grant from Sustainable Charlbury for Katrine Pringle, a parent with children in Year 2 and Year 4, to work with us this year as a Sustainable School Adviser. Katrine will be working with pupils and staff across the school to implement a learning for sustainability programme.
Part of this involves setting up a pupil-led Eco Committee who will carry out an environmental audit of the school, looking at our school grounds, our curriculum and how we manage our resources, which will be used to inform an action plan to embed sustainability in all aspects of the school. The programme will also support staff in finding ways to create opportunities for pupils to learn about sustainable issues and develop associated lifelong skills. We are keen to involve the wider school and Charlbury community in our programme and welcome any expertise or ideas you have to offer on aspects of sustainability.
